International Conference on Ground Control in Mining (ICGCM) Organization Committee (the Committee) has been updating the processing of abstract/technical paper submission/revision, and proceedings publication through the application of advancing in the webpage design technologies. In addition to the improvement in technical paper preparation and publications, online registration feature has also been established in ICGCM website. This allows many participants readily paying the registration fee for the conference anywhere in the World. The Committee is accepting the credit card registration through West Virginia University (WVU) Shopping Mall system.

The new additional web system is up and running for submission and revisions of abstract and technical papers. If you are one of the authors, and your paper has been selected and included in the Preliminary Technical Program, you already have experienced of using this integrated web system (Click on brochure cover shown above). A few new members joined ICGCM Organization Committee this year. You might want to get acquinted with them.

In 2008 Annual SME Meeting at Denver, CO, the Committee has established the Best of Ground Control Lecture Session. See those authors selected to make the presentation of their best technical papers from 27th ICGCM in 2008. In SME Banquete, Dr. Thomas Barczak received 2008 SME Syd S. Peng Ground Control in Mining Award.
